IAC 2019 will be held at GG’s Yard, the latest addition to Laggan Outdoors’ facilities. It enjoys a simply stunning setting in the glorious Galloway hills, with incredible views over the beautiful southern Scottish coastline.
The venue is built around a 200-year-old barn. Much of the brickwork and oak beams have been lovingly restored to add character to the venue. A glass front and neutral colour palate help to create a classic contemporary feel.
Located close to the A75, the main trunk road linking the port of Stranraer to the UK, close to the towns of Gatehouse of Fleet, Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright. Laggan Outdoors and GG’s Yard is readily accessible; just over 2 hours from the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Newcastle and under 4 hours from Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham.
Head up to Scotland and cross the border in the west and you'll be greeted by glorious green countryside, rolling hills and friendly towns.
Welcome to Dumfries & Galloway!
The first thing you'll notice about Dumfries & Galloway is just how beautiful this lowland part of Scotland is. From the rocky and sandy Solway Coast looking out for miles across the sea, to the lush green inland forests and hills, it's simply amazing. And it's not just us that think so - writers such as Robert Burns, artists and many more have been inspired by these lands.
As much as the people love their landscape, the animals love it too. From the red squirrels and the red deer in the forests to the ospreys and red kites in the sky, there's plenty for you to see and photograph - if you're quick!
Want the rush of flying through the trees on a mountain bike? Or why not splash about on the water windsurfing and yachting? There are lots of activities in Dumfries & Galloway to choose from, and you don't have to go mad - you can just go for a gentle walk or cycle. Or, take to one of the country's longest zip wires or join a wild swim. There are many actrivities to enjoy.
